Tying an Adjustable Slipknot Necklace

About Waxed Cotton Cord:

When you first put on a waxed cotton cord necklace, you may want to try wearing it for an hour or two before adjusting it. This will coat the sometimes sticky wax with body oils and make the knots perform more smoothly right from the get-go, and may help you avoid cinching the knots unnecessarily tightly.

The cord we carry is absolutely top-notch USA Made, and not sticky.

About Waxed Cotton Cord:

CARE/SAFETY

  • Don't shower(all the time)with it on, as the chlorine eats the wax, then of course, the cord. Nickel plated metals -NO!- and wipe dry.
  • Avoid leaving your polymer clay beads in the sunlight - They get a bit brittle, but they will always return to(yes, even further)hardness after they cool.
  • Cord breaks at about 30 lbs. pull. Safe for children, but watch out for toddlers, of course!
  • U.S. Made is just really good!

TIPS

  • If the beads get scratched, you can lightly sand them with moist 600 grit sandpaper. Polish with muslin or slow buffing wheel. We can fix too.
  • A good wax polish will enhance the colors!(I advise this for longterm care WAY over polymer coatings).
  • There are alot of beads on the market. Some are pretty rare(like ours), so keep them in a soft, safe place

Our 100% waxed cotton cord is
absolutely the best U.S. Made cord money can buy. NOT to be confused with 'blended braids'(the stuff with the white polyester core) that are often found to be scratchy and flimsy. Not too waxy either!

Care of Polymer Beads

Treat them well, and they'll basically last forever! We have rather strict baking procedures, so the only other potential longterm issue is DIRT! Wash with lightly soapy water, and wipe dry.We will replace any defective beads, but they go through at least four stages of inspection, so your story better be PRETTY CONVINCING...or at least heart-breaking!!
